VICIFINANCIAL

How we work

One system, not three vendors.

Books, tax, and the decisions in between are handled together, on a rhythm — so nothing lands as a surprise in April.

Why it works together

The books, the tax, and the decisions are one system.

Split across three providers, nobody owns the whole picture. The bookkeeper does not know the tax position. The tax preparer sees the year once it is over. The decisions in between get made on instinct.

Accurate books make real tax planning possible. Real planning changes what the right decision is. Those decisions feed back into what the books need to track.

What that looks like

  • Books current, so numbers are usable when a decision comes up
  • Tax position reviewed during the year, while it can still change
  • Owner pay, equipment, and hiring looked at together
  • Business and personal returns handled as one picture
  • One team that already knows your situation when you call

How the work runs

Understand, organize, advise, plan.

Most accounting relationships are reactive — the work happens after the year is closed and the decisions are already made. This is the opposite order.

  1. 01

    Understand

How the business makes money, what is hard now, where you want it next year.

  2. 02

    Organize

Books accurate and current, so every decision after starts from numbers you trust.

  3. 03

    Advise

Numbers turned into decisions on pricing, hiring, cash, structure, and tax exposure.

  4. 04

    Plan

Tax and cash decisions made while they can still change the outcome.

Where people start

How it starts

Three steps, and no pressure in any of them.

  1. 01

    A discovery call

We work out what is going on and whether VICI can help. If not, we say so early rather than sell you something.

  2. 02

    A scoped recommendation

What we would do, at what cadence, and what it costs — in writing, before anything starts.

  3. 03

    Protected onboarding

Everything sensitive moves through the secure client portal. Nothing confidential travels by email or through this website.

Before you book

What a discovery call is

A discovery call is a two-way conversation about whether VICI Financial can help. If not, Joe says so early.

What we will talk about

  • What the business does and how it makes money
  • What is hardest right now
  • Where you want the business in a year
  • Whether VICI Financial is a fit, and the next step either way

Worth having handy

None of this is required to book — it just makes the first conversation more useful.

  • Recent business and personal tax returns, if handy
  • How the books are kept, and who touches them
  • The two or three decisions you are weighing

Keeping your data safe

Do not send tax documents, Social Security numbers, account numbers, or payroll files through this website. Once we are working together, everything sensitive moves through our secure client portal.

Common questions

Do you work with businesses outside Central New York?
Yes — VICI Financial works with clients across the United States. We are rooted in Central New York, and locally Joe comes to you.
Do we have to meet in person?
No. Most work happens over video and phone, with documents exchanged through a secure client portal. Local clients who prefer meeting in person can.
What happens on a discovery call?
It is a two-way fit check. Joe works out whether we can genuinely help, and tells you early if we cannot.
How do you handle sensitive documents?
Never through this website. Tax documents and financial records move through VICI Financial's secure client portal once you are a client.
Do you handle both the business and the owner's personal return?
Yes, and we usually recommend it for owner-led businesses — the two returns affect each other.

Let's find out if we are a fit.

A short, direct conversation. If VICI is not the right answer for your situation, we will say so.
